What Role does your character play in a team? Roles determine your health and stamina as well as granting you Reactions and a unique trait

  • The Big One
    • You hold up the collapsing building, you take the hit that would have knocked out one of your teammates, you make the enemy wish they brought an army. The Big One has reactions to take the brunt instead of their teammates and combo actions to bolster their defenses
      • “Get behind me” R, Whenever an Ally is about to take damage to their Health, you can step in front of them to take the hit instead.
      • “Stand tall my friends!” 1 AP, Whenever you gain Stamina all your allies gainPH stamina
    • Trait: BIG
  • The Tactician
    • You find the weak spot in the enemy’s stratagem, you devise the attack plan, but you already knew this because you have prepared for everything. ​The Tactician has reactions they can use to gather information on the enemy and interced in their plans.
      • “Taking Notes” 1 AP, Whenever a roll’s result is less than half of the dice, add +1 to your Meter
      • “All according to plan” 1 AP, Whenever a roll’s result is more than half of the dice

  • The Heart
    • You hold your team together, you convince the enemy to lay down their weapons, you elevate your team to heights far taller than what they could have achieved aloneThe Heart has reactions to better the results of their teammates and bring them back from the brink
      • The Heart

  • The Ace
    • You shoot a target in the eye from a kilometer away, you slice a bullet flying through the air, when your team needs to do something impossible they ask you. The Ace has combo actions to set up buffs to greatly increase their results.
      • “Keeping Count” 1 AP Whenever you exhaust a character’s Stamina you add a +1 to your Meter, if you down an enemy you add a +2ph
      • “You thought I was done?” 2 AP Whenever you roll less than half on an attack action that costed 2 ap or less, you can roll all its damage again, adding the Surprising Trait and the ACE trait in a new aspect

What Role does your character play in a team? Roles give you ways to contribute to your team with reactions and give you escalating benefits throughout a fight

  • The Big One
    • You hold up the collapsing building, you take the hit that would have knocked out one of your teammates, you make the enemy wish they brought an army. The Big One has reactions to prevent allies from being harmed
    • Reactions:
      • “Get behind me” R, Whenever an Ally within your speed is about to take damage, you can step in front of them to take the hit instead. Taking 1 damage to your health
      • “You’ll have to get through me first” R, Whenever a Foe uses a move action to pass in a square adjacent to you, you make the enemy end their movement action.
    • Actions:
      • “I’ll hold them back!” Combo 1 AP, Your last action made you gain Stamina, you lose that stamina you would have gained but your allies gain it instead
      • “Eyes on me” Combo 1 AP, Your previous action had the Attack Trait, any foe you previously this turn hit will be forced to target you with their next action that has the Attack Trait
    • Passive: At the beginning of your turn get a stack of Adrenaline for every 2 missing Health
  • The Tactician
    • You find the weak spot in the enemy’s stratagem, you devise the attack plan, but you already knew this because you have prepared for everything. ​The Tactician increases the damage output of the team

        Condition: Whenever an ally’s roll is Underwhelming That Ally’s next attack applies the Targeted Condition to their targets -|
      • “Look Behind You” R, Condition: When an ally’s Stamina is exhausted You create a distraction allowing your ally to get away from the fight That ally may take a Move Action for free -|
    • Actions:
      • “Taking Notes” Combo 1 AP, After dealing damage to Stamina, You study your target’s moves and how to counter them Your target(s) gains 1 stack of the Targeted Condition -|
      • “Expose Weak point”, Combo 2 AP, Condition: The previous action had the attack trait Apply 3 stacks of the Targeted Condition to one of the targets you attacked -|
    • Passive: At the beginning of your round gain 1 point of Stamina for every foe with the Targeted Condition, if there’s only one foe you instead gain 1 point of Stamina for every stack of the Targeted Condition

      • “You got this!” R, Whenever an ally fails a Tank Or Flank? Check, allow them to try again
    • Passive

VERSION 3PH

Roles actions are Combo Actions, Reactions and special Falling Actions that inform your purpose in the team, they usually benefit your team more than you and cannot be taken by more than one character in a team.

  • Get behind me! , Reaction Condition: An ally is about to take damage to their Health You jump in the way of an attack that would have harmed your teammate. Effect: Take a Move Action to move toward the ally, if you reach an adjacent square to them you take the damage instead of your ally, directly to your health. Role Aid |
  • Get it together! , Reaction Condition:An ally fails a Tank or Flank Check You encourage your ally to recompose themselves Effect: The ally may remove one stack of a condition they are afflicted by Role Aid |
  • I’m with you! , Reaction Condition: An ally moves in a space adjacent to you You follow your ally into battle Effect: You copy the remaining movement that your ally takes in this turn. Role Self |
  • You’ll have to get through me first! , Reaction Condition: A Foe uses a move action to pass in a square adjacent to you You stop a Foe from moving past you. Effect: You make the enemy end their movement action.
  • Remember the plan! , Reaction Condition: An ally’s roll was Underwhelming You encourage your ally to stick to the plan Effect: The ally gains Adrenaline(1)
  • I’ve got you! , Reaction Condition: An ally was Flung You step in and grab the ally before they hit the ground Effect: Take a Move Action to move toward the ally, if you reach an adjacent square to them they end the forced movement without taking the Impacted Condition
  • Good job! , Reaction Condition: An ally dealt damage to Health You compliment an Ally’s skills Effect: The ally gets one stack of Adrenaline for each point of damage they dealt to Health this turn
  • Hands off of my friend! , Reaction Condition: An ally’s Stamina is Exhausted by a Foe You avenge your ally by quickly hitting the enemy. Effect: You may take a 1 AP action with the Attack Trait, targeting only the Foe that exhausted your teammate’s Stamina.

          • Condition: One ore more allies you can see are targeted by an attack.
          • Effect: The allies are no longer targeted by the triggering attack. And you become the sole target. If the attack had the Area Trait, your allies may move to a free space next to you, if it didn’t you instead move to a free space next to them.

    • Wasp
      • Actions:
        • Impending Doom, 1 AP
          • You expose yourself to become more of a threat
          • Effect: Roll your recovery die. Gain a damage bonus of +1d6 that applies to all attacks you deal and receive until you become exhausted.
          • Mobile Aid Role Consumed
      • Reactions:
        • What’s up buddy?, R
          • You see a foe try to pull some shit and you politely make them stop
          • Condition: a Foe adjacent to you takes a move action to move away from you or targets someone other than you with an action.
          • Effect: Deal 2d4 Damage to that Foe. Additionally if that Foe’s stamina wasn’t exhausted by this attack and the attack didn’t deal damage to health, you regain your reaction.
